- Get as close to the insect as possible. (Utilize a macro lens if possible.)
- Provide context with your pictures. The more details, the better!
- Take several pictures and from different angles.
- Review your picture for clarity. If you can't see the insect, the experts won't be able to either.
- Do not smash the bug! (Smashed bugs are hard to identify.)
